On Tuesday, Bayern Munich made history by becoming the first team to score seven goals away to Tottenham Hotspur in any competition, with Serge Gnabry leading the charge.

The 24-year-old Germany international scored four goals in the 7-2 thrashing, which has sent a strong message to European teams.

Bayern Munich now leads Group B with two wins and 10 goals scored, and Gnabry's performance has sparked questions about why he was given so few opportunities during his time at Arsenal.

‘I think (the other teams) know we are not stopping. After the 3-1 or 4-2 we could have stopped but we wanted more,’ Gnabry said.

‘I think it’s a big message for everyone else.’

With Bayern Munich now top of the Bundesliga and set to face Olympiakos in the Champions League, they look well on their way to the knockout stages.

‘Seven goals doesn’t happen often but we have to keep our feet on the ground. If we do that then performances like that can come more often,’ Gnabry added.
