On October 2, 2019, three men were arrested and arraigned at the Kajiado Law Courts for allegedly engaging in homosexuality.

The men, George Sane, a teacher at Marhab Girls Secondary School in Kajiado, and Martin Kithure and Dickens Ouma from Mombasa, were charged with the offence of engaging in an unnatural act.

According to court documents, the three men met on Facebook and arranged a meeting in Kajiado, where they allegedly agreed to engage in a sexual act for a payment of Sh 10,000 each.

However, after the act, Sane allegedly refused to pay the agreed amount, insisting on paying Sh 5,000 each instead.

The two men reported the matter to the Kajiado Police Station, leading to the arrest of all three and their arraignment for practicing homosexuality.

They were released on a cash bail of Sh 100,000 each after denying the charges.
