On October 2, 2019, a devastating road accident occurred on Kangundo road, claiming the lives of five people.
The accident involved a Toyota Probox and a bus belonging to the Kenya Bus Service Sacco, which collided at the notorious Kamulu blackspot.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the Toyota Probox attempted to overtake another vehicle but lost control and crashed into the oncoming bus.
Three occupants in the Toyota Probox died instantly, while the remaining two succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment.
