Published on October 2, 2019, Kenya Airways and Oman Air have strengthened their partnership by expanding their codeshare cooperation.

The codeshare agreement, which began in August 2017, initially allowed passengers to travel between Muscat and Nairobi. However, the expanded cooperation now enables seamless connectivity for Oman Air customers traveling beyond Nairobi to Entebbe (Uganda) and Johannesburg (South Africa).

Conversely, Kenya Airways guests can now extend their travel beyond Muscat (Oman) to Karachi (Pakistan) and Lahore (Pakistan).

The airlines have also announced plans to add new destinations for Oman Air guests traveling beyond Nairobi to DAR Es Salaam (Tanzania) and for Kenya Airways guests beyond Muscat (Oman) to Bangalore (India), Chennai (India), New Delhi (India), Hyderabad (India), and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), subject to government and regulatory approvals.
