Published on October 2, 2019, Gor Mahia head coach Steve Pollack has urged his team to bounce back to winning ways with victory against Nzoia FC after being knocked out of the CAF Champions League last Sunday.

The Kenyan representatives lost 2-0 to USM Algers to bow out 6-1 on aggregate, relegating them to the Caf Confederations Cup.

Coach Pollack emphasized the importance of learning from their mistakes and showing class when they face Nzoia at the Mumias Sports Complex on Wednesday.

‘We have to keep our heads up and focus on Wednesday’s game because it’s very important to bounce back to winning ways, the league has become more competitive and it’s important to respond with victory in our next match,’ Pollack said.

The 18-time Kenyan Premier League champions have won both matches they have played so far this season, and the coach is optimistic they will continue with their impressive form when the two sides clash.

‘As a coach we are in all these together whether we win, lose or draw against any opposition,’ Pollack added.

‘I can’t foresee the mistakes players will make; the most important thing is to avoid repeating the same,’ he said.
