Tottenham Hotspur Suffer Crushing Defeat at Hands of Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich handed Tottenham Hotspur a crushing 7-2 defeat in a UEFA Champions League Group B match on October 1, 2019, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

The match was a far cry from Tottenham's 2-2 draw against Olympiacos in Group B, and their hopes of advancing to the knockout stage were dealt a significant blow.

Former Arsenal star Serge Gnabry was the star of the show, scoring four goals in the second half to seal the win for Bayern Munich.

Heung-Min Son opened the scoring for Tottenham in the 12th minute, but Joshua Kimmich equalized just three minutes later.

Robert Lewandowski added another goal for Bayern Munich, making it 2-1 before the halftime break.

Gnabry then scored two more goals in the second half, with Harry Kane scoring a consolation penalty for Tottenham in the 61st minute.

Bayern Munich's victory was sealed when Gnabry scored his fourth goal of the night, and Lewandowski completed the scoring with a goal of his own.

Tottenham are now third in Group B, but their chances of advancing to the knockout stage are slim after losing to Bayern Munich and Red Star.
