On October 2, 2019, we published a story that caused unnecessary distress to a family in Kenya. The story reported the passing of Mama Baha, a beloved star of the popular TV show Machachari.
However, we have since established that the story was entirely false. Our investigation revealed that the director of Machachari had indeed lost his wife to cancer, but due to a mix-up, we mistakenly identified Mama Baha as the deceased.
We wish to extend our sincerest apologies to Wanjiku Mburu and her family for any inconvenience, distress, or harm caused by our earlier report. We strive to provide accurate and reliable information to our readers, and we fell short of this standard in this instance.
