On October 2, 2019, a teacher and two men from Mombasa were arrested and arraigned at the Kajiado Law Courts for allegedly practicing homosexuality.
The trio, identified as George Sane, a secondary school teacher from Kajiado, and Martin Kithure and Dickens Ouma from Mombasa, were charged with engaging in an unnatural act contrary to Section 162(a) of the penal code.
According to the court, George Sane, a teacher at Marhab Girls Secondary School in Kajiado, had sexual intercourse with Kithure and Ouma against their order of nature.
The men reportedly met on Facebook and agreed that Sane would pay each of them Sh10,000 for the sexual act, but he failed to pay the agreed amount and insisted on paying half the price.
As a result, Kithure and Ouma reported the matter at Kajiado Police Station, leading to their arrest and presentation in court.
The suspects denied the charges and were released on a cash bail of Sh100,000 each.
