Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone has been living in fear after receiving threatening messages, prompting him to report the matter to the police.

According to Chameleone, he started receiving the threatening messages on September 10, with the sender claiming to be a 'General.'

"I have been receiving messages from someone claiming to be a General. The first message I received was on September 10 at 10 pm. They were threatening to harm me if I didn't pay them," Chameleone said in a Facebook post on September 29.

Chameleone, who is known for his hit song 'Badilisha,' revealed that he was forced to report the matter to the police at the Seguku Police Station due to fear for his safety.

"We have seen people being threatened and later killed. I don't want to be one of them. I reported the matter to the police immediately," Chameleone said in an interview with a local television station.
