On September 16, Danish star Kasper Dolberg lost his watch and immediately reported the matter to the police. The incident led to the termination of the contract of 18-year-old Lamine Diaby-Fadiga with French club Nice.

According to a club statement, Nice confirmed Fadiga’s exit, saying, “Following the theft of Kasper Dolberg's watch from the changing room, and the subsequent admission of the player, the club decided to cancel its contract with the forward with immediate effect.”

Nice, managed by Arsenal legend Patrick Viera, terminated Fadiga’s contract after his confession. The young player has since promised to compensate Dolberg for the watch.

Fortunately for Fadiga, neither Nice nor Dolberg will pursue any further charges on him, although his promising career has taken a hit.

OGC Nice stated, “Beyond any sporting and financial considerations, OGC Nice cannot afford to accept such behavior and to ignore such a fault,'
