Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa has denied claims that she has ditched the Tanga Tanga team led by Deputy President William Ruto for the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party led by Raila Odinga.
On Tuesday, 1 October, photos of Aisha Jumwa with ODM party members surfaced online, sparking the claims.
However, Aisha Jumwa took to her social media page to refute the allegations, stating that she has not defected from the Tanga Tanga team.
She explained that ODM leader Raila Odinga made a surprise visit to her parliamentary office after she failed to attend the ODM Parliamentary Group meeting at County Hall.
Aisha Jumwa further clarified that she has not dumped Ruto or endorsed the ODM aspirant Imran Okoth in the forthcoming Kibra by-election.
