On October 1, 2019, a sudden and intense sandstorm swept through Nairobi and its environs, leaving residents in shock.

The storm, which originated in Arusha, Tanzania, brought strong winds and reduced visibility, affecting areas such as Thika, Juja, Nairobi CBD, Westlands, Kajiado, and Rongai.

Residents took to social media to share photos and videos of the storm, with many expressing concern and surprise at the sudden weather change.

Despite the severity of the storm, the Kenya Meteorological Department did not issue any warnings or statements to the public.

As the situation developed, residents were advised to drive carefully and exercise caution due to the reduced visibility.

This is a developing story, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available.
