Published on October 1, 2019, Manchester United's Norwegian manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has received backing from former captain Roy Keane, despite the team's disappointing start to the season.
Manchester United are currently in 10th place with just nine points, their worst start after seven games for 30 years. However, Keane believes that Solskjaer needs time to shape the team, especially with youngsters introduced to the side this season.
Keane, who won seven Premier League titles with United, praised Solskjaer as 'a good honest guy' and acknowledged that it's 'hard work at the moment, but there are six or seven young players learning their way.'
He added that Solskjaer deserved the chance to bring in new players and that the team should 'stick with it' despite some tough days ahead.
Keane's comments come after Manchester United's 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal on Monday, their latest disappointing result. Solskjaer himself acknowledged that the results were a concern, but expressed confidence in the team's performances.
