Arsene Wenger Poised for Sensational Return to Management ¶
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, 69, is reportedly being considered to take over at AC Milan, following the team's worst start to a Serie A season in decades.
Wenger has been out of work since leaving the Emirates in May 2018, but his chances of managing at AC Milan have been boosted by the presence of Ivan Gazidis, the club's Chief Executive, who previously worked with Wenger at Arsenal.
AC Milan's current manager, Marco Giampaolo, has fallen out of favor with his bosses after subjecting the team to their worst starts in Serie A in recent times. The team has lost four of their opening six games for the first time since the 1930s.
Wenger's potential return to management has been linked to the Italian giants, with Italian outlet Gazzetta reporting that he is already being lined up to replace Giampaolo.
Former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri and ex-Inter boss Luciano Spalletti are also being considered for the AC Milan job.
