October 1, 2019, marked a significant day in Ethiopia's history, as the country took a major step towards transparency and accountability. Fikadu Tsega, an official in the Attorney General's office, revealed that over 1,200 people have been killed and more than 1.2 million displaced in clashes over the past year.
