On October 1, 2019, Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz announced a new business venture that has left fans stunned: the establishment of a football club and academy.
According to Diamond, the football club, dubbed Wasafi Football Club (WFC), will be accompanied by the Wasafi Football Academy, which aims to nurture young football talents from the grassroots level.
"I'm in the process of setting up Wasafi Football Club #WFC, and also establishing the Wasafi Football Academy, which will help identify and develop young football talents from the bottom up, and eventually support our national team," Diamond stated.
With this move, Diamond Platnumz continues to expand his business empire, which already includes a successful music label and entertainment company.
