Published on October 1, 2019, YouTube allows users to change their Gmail account through a straightforward process.
First, navigate to the Google account settings page by typing https://myaccount.google.com/ in your browser's address bar.
On the left side of the page, click on 'Personal Info' and then scroll down to 'Contact Info.' Click on 'Email' and select 'Google account email' from the dropdown menu.
Next to your email address, click 'Edit' and enter a new email address for your account. Make sure to choose one that isn't already in use by another Google account.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process, and you'll receive a notification via email to verify the change.
However, if you're unable to access the settings, it may not be possible to change your email or username. Additionally, if your account's email address ends in @gmail.com, you usually can't change it.
If you're using a Gmail account through your work, school, or other group, you'll need to ask your administrator for assistance.
To delete your Gmail account, follow these steps:
- Go to https://myaccount.google.com/
- On the left navigation panel, click 'Data & personalization.'
- On the 'Download, delete, or make a plan for your data' panel, click 'Delete a service or your account.'
- On the 'Delete your Gmail Account' panel, click 'Delete your account.'
