On a stormy night, September 30, 2019, SRI BHARATAM shared a timeless tale of self-discovery and acceptance.
A wild horse, admired by its herd, felt envious of zebras' striking black stripes. The horse sought advice from a wise monkey, who suggested painting charcoal stripes on its body.
Initially, the horse was thrilled with its new appearance, but the stripes soon dissolved in the rain, revealing its true nature. The zebras rejected it, and the horse returned to its own herd, feeling dejected and depressed.
However, with the monkey's guidance, the horse was washed clean, and its natural beauty was restored. The horse gazed at its reflection and exclaimed, "I am really beautiful!"
This poignant story teaches us to stay true to ourselves, not to be defined by others' opinions, and to compete with our own potential for growth and improvement.
