On September 30, 2019, Personal Systems, a local reseller for Apple devices, marked a significant milestone in the African market by opening a Sh5 million mono-brand outlet in Nairobi.
The outlet, fully funded by Apple through Redington, its appointed independent value-added distributor for Africa, is a testament to the growing demand for Apple products in the region.
According to Mahmood Khambiye, Managing Director of Personal Systems, mono-brand stores are the next big thing locally, allowing customers to experience Apple's computers and devices hands-on and receive advice from trained technicians.
The launch comes at a time when Apple is eying the African market, which has been dominated by Chinese mobile makers.
Redington's Marketing Manager, Christine Judy, noted that the success of this project is a boost to their portfolio and a continuation of their splendid partnership with Apple.
