Geoffrey Kirui, the reigning World Marathon champion, is set to defend his title in Doha, Qatar. Kirui, who won the title in 2017, is looking to retain his crown in the upcoming championships.

According to reports, Kirui has been training hard in preparation for the event, which is scheduled to take place on October 27, 2019. The Kenyan athlete has been a dominant force in the marathon scene, and many are expecting him to put up a strong challenge for the title.

However, Kirui will face stiff competition from other top athletes, including Ethiopia's Tamirat Tola and Kenya's Bedan Muchiri. The two athletes have been in top form in recent months, and many believe they have what it takes to dethrone Kirui.

Despite the competition, Kirui remains confident of retaining his title. In a recent interview, he stated, 'I am feeling good and I am confident that I can retain my title. I have been training hard and I am ready for the challenge.'
