On Sunday night, a tragic road crash occurred on the Meru-Isiolo Highway, claiming the lives of four Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) officers.
The incident happened at Matunda area, where the vehicle carrying the military officers collided head-on with a private car.
According to Buuri OCPD Joseph Asugo, the officers died instantly, while four others, including a man, his wife, and two children, were injured in the crash.
The injured were rushed to Kiirua Mission Hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased army officers were taken to the hospital mortuary.
