On Sunday night, a tragic road accident occurred on the Meru-Isiolo Highway, claiming the lives of four Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers.
According to Buuri OCPD Joseph Asugo, the driver of the vehicle carrying the KDF officers lost control, resulting in a head-on collision with an oncoming private car at the Matunda area.
The officers died instantly, while four other people - a man, his wife, and two children - who were in the private car sustained injuries and were admitted to Kiirua Mission Hospital.
The bodies of the deceased officers were moved to the Kiirua Mission Hospital mortuary.
