On September 30, 2019, American boxer Gervonta Davis had a shocking experience at his California home.

Just two hours after flaunting his expensive jewellery on Instagram, the Baltimore-born boxer fell victim to a reported robbery.

The super featherweight boxer had at least three watches and an expensive chain, valued at KSh 640 million (£5 million), stolen from his home.

According to reports, Davis shared a footage of the jewellery with his 1.8 million followers on social media before the sudden twist of events.

He later returned online to plead with his followers to help find the items, saying, "Yo somebody broke into my house here in Cali and stole my jewelry. If somebody try to sell it let me know,"

Despite the setback, Davis's boxing career has been on an upward trajectory, with 22 pro fights and 21 KOs under his belt.

He is understood to be a protege of Floyd "Money" Mayweather and has a net worth of around £2 million.
