On September 30, 2019, the divorce case filed by the late Dutch Tycoon Tob Cohen against his wife Sarah Wairimu took a dramatic turn.

According to Sarah, Tob Cohen stopped paying her Ksh50,000 monthly salary from January 2019 because he wanted her to adhere to his demands and depend only on him.

However, Sarah disputed this claim, stating that she and Tob Cohen had started their company, Tobs Limited, in 1991, where she was the Managing Director and her husband was the Chairman.

She alleged that Tob Cohen had a history of controlling behavior, describing him as a 'sadist' who showed no care for her well-being.

Sarah claimed that Tob Cohen had withheld her monthly pay on multiple occasions, leaving her with no other source of income, and that his motive was to frustrate her and ensure she adhered to his demands before paying her.

Despite the allegations, Sarah admitted that their marriage had gone sour beyond salvage and that she was ready to walk out of it.
