On September 30, 2019, a three-car road traffic collision occurred along Balshagray Avenue in Glasgow, Scotland, involving former England striker Jermain Defoe.
Defoe, who had just played for Rangers in their 5-0 win over Aberdeen, was a passenger in a Range Rover that was involved in the crash.
According to eyewitnesses, a BMW M4 sports car was traveling south when it somehow went through the central reservation and clipped Defoe's car.
Two vehicles, including the Range Rover, were left badly damaged in the incident.
Defoe escaped unhurt from the incident and later posted a video on Instagram confirming that he was okay.
He thanked fans for their messages and said he was just a little bit in shock but was all good.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that police were called to the scene at 6:05 pm and that an investigation was underway.
