On September 30, 2019, Rift Valley MPs led by Bomet Woman Representative Joyce Korir, Bomet East MP Beatrice Kones, and Senator Christopher Langat called for the sacking of Gender, Youth and Sports CAS Rachel Shebesh over her support for ODM candidate Imran Okoth in the Kibra by-election.

Speaking at a fundraiser in Chemaner, Bomet East, the MPs termed Shebesh's decision as 'stupid' and accused her of disrespecting the Jubilee party.

According to Korir, Shebesh's position as CAS was courtesy of the Jubilee party, and she should therefore respect the party's agenda.

'Jubilee belongs to us all... we respect Uhuru as the party leader and Ruto as the deputy party leader, so she should respect both equally,' Korir said.

Langat echoed the sentiment, referring to Shebesh as a 'confused woman' who should stop being 'stupid' and know that she is where she is now because of the Jubilee party.
