It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sis Mary Muthoni Kamotho, a beloved member of our community, who left this world on Friday, September 20th, 2019, after a brave fight with cancer.
She will be deeply missed by her loving family, including her husband, the late Peter Kamotho Muchai, her children, Nahashon Muchai, Simon Gacheru, Edwin Karina, and her grandson, Eli Kamotho Muchai, all of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Meetings are scheduled to take place at UBRC church, 124 Luther Road, Raleigh, NC 27610, on Wednesday, September 25th, and Thursday, September 26th, at 6:30 pm. On Tuesday, September 24th, Friday, September 27th, and Saturday, September 28th, the family will meet at Mary's home, 2414 Jimmy Carter Way, Raleigh, NC, also at 6:30 pm. Visitors are welcome to pay their respects at the family's home during the day.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 29th, at UBRC, with viewing starting at 3:30 pm, followed by the memorial service. A fundraiser will be conducted to help with the burial expenses in Muranga, Kenya, and to support the orphans, including one who is currently in college.
