On a Sunday morning in Nakuru, a shocking scene unfolded at a residence where a middle-aged house girl had been working for five years.
The girl, who had crossed the boundaries of her work, had been having an affair with her employer's husband, Joseph.
According to neighbours, Nyambura, the house girl, was known to be rude to them, and whenever they raised concerns to the family, Joseph would quickly defend her.
"Every time Nyambura advanced her mischief, Joseph would start defending her even before he could listen to what his domestic manager had done," a neighbour stated.
Despite the neighbours' suspicions, Joseph's wife chose not to jump to conclusions but instead sought a safe and discreet way to establish the truth.
However, a week after the neighbours had complained to Joseph's wife, Nyambura was caught red-handed in the act.
"I was actually preparing myself to attend a service when I heard screams from Joseph's home. I immediately rushed there only to find Joseph on top of Nyambura. They were on the matrimonial bed where Joseph and his wife sleeps," a neighbour revealed.
When Joseph's wife was informed, she conceded that her neighbours had been right to suspect her husband's habits.
"Am glad that my neighbors have really helped me. Now I know why my husband was always complaining that I do not satisfy him well. Have got the spoiler in my house help," Joseph's wife said while speaking with a neighbour on phone.
Joseph's wife had previously visited traditional doctor Ndumba wa Ndumba, who used a native approach to protect the marriage from unfaithfulness.
