On Sunday, AFC Leopards secured a 4-0 win over Chemelil Sugar in a Kenyan Premier League match played at the Mumias Complex, with John Mark Makwatta scoring twice and providing another.
Chemelil Sugar's woes continued as they lost their third consecutive match, leaving them rooted at the bottom of the table with 11 goals conceded.
Elsewhere, Wazito FC picked up their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Zoo, while KCB FC came from behind to defeat Kakamega Homeboyz 2-1.
Leopards' head coach Casa Mbungo will be pleased with the early signs of progress and the impact of new signings Makwatta and Tresor Ndikumana.
Makwatta opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a simple tap-in after turning home Eugene Mukangula's corner kick.
He added his second in the 33rd minute, putting Leopards 2-0 up at half-time.
After the break, Paul Were came on for Boniface Mukhekhe and increased the pressure on Chemelil, with Tresor Ndikumana scoring to make it 3-0.
Makwatta sealed the win with his second and fourth goal for Leopards in the 63rd minute, unleashing a rocket past Chemelil goalkeeper Onunga Bernard.
Chemelil threatened with three minutes left, but Tindi Biko's shot came off the post and no one attacked the rebound.
The visitors finished the match with 10 men after Musa Oundo was sent off for a dangerous foul play.
