Published on September 29, 2019, Gor Mahia's Kenya Premier League title was not enough to secure their spot in the Caf Champions League group stages.

USM Alger, the Algerian giants, had already taken a 2-0 lead in the first leg, and Gor Mahia's 2-0 loss at Kasarani Stadium sealed their fate.

Aymen Mahious was the star of the show, scoring twice in the second half to condemn Gor Mahia to a 6-1 aggregate defeat.

Coach Steven Polack made a few changes to the starting lineup, but it was not enough to break USM Alger's dominance.

With this defeat, Gor Mahia's Champions League dreams were shattered, and USM Alger effectively booked their spot in the group stages.
