This archive report was first published on 29 September 2019.

As of September 29, 2019, Sarah Wairimu, the wife of late Dutch billionaire Tob Cohen, has been a resident at Lang'ata women's prison. According to sources, she spends most of her time talking to herself and occasionally resorts to prayer.

Wairimu has become the most popular remandee at the prison, with sources indicating that she prefers to be alone and rarely interacts with others, except for a foreign woman she has befriended.

Her days are filled with weeping, sleeping late, and struggling to adjust to the prison food, although she has reportedly gotten used to it over time.

Despite being visited by close family members, Wairimu has lost the support of her friends, including the daughter of a former cabinet minister, John Michuki.

Her primary concern at the moment is the controversial will that has locked her out of her late husband's estate.
