Former England international Jermain Defoe has cheated death after surviving a horrific car crash involving three vehicles in Glasgow, Scotland.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred after Rangers' 5-0 win over Aberdeen on Saturday, September 28, at Ibrox Stadium.

Defoe was riding in his Range Rover alongside a yet-to-be-identified woman when the accident happened.

Another eyewitness recorded that a BMW M4 sports car was traveling south and somehow went through the central reservation, clipping Defoe's car.

Defoe has since taken to social media to thank fans who sent him goodwill messages, confirming he was unhurt.

"Thank you for all your lovely messages. I'm fine, I'm all good," he posted on Instagram.
