Published on September 29, 2019, a botched robbery incident along Juja Road, Nairobi, left four suspected thugs dead after a motorist alerted police who were on patrol.
According to Nairobi police boss Philip Ndolo, the victim was waiting for his gate to be opened when armed men ordered him to surrender his valuables and demanded to take over his car.
The victim raised the alarm, and police officers who were on patrol rushed to the scene, shooting dead the four suspects.
Two homemade pistols with two bullets and four knives were recovered from the slain suspects, while two others managed to escape on foot.
The bodies were moved to the mortuary, and the robbery victim was injured in the head and attended to at a nearby hospital.
