Meanwhile, in Nyeri county, police have arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with the disappearance and murder of a 12-year-old boy in Karatina.
The suspect, Charles Muriuki, was identified on CCTV footage from a local entertainment club and was seen leaving the area on a motorcycle where the boy was allegedly kidnapped.
Police suspect that the boy was killed due to an alleged love affair gone sour, and his body was later found dumped in Kagochi Forest.
The couple had a long history of domestic violence, and Muriuki is currently detained at Karatina Police Station awaiting arraignment.
