On September 29, 2019, a dramatic shootout unfolded along Juja Road in Nairobi, leaving four suspected gangsters dead.
According to the DCI, the suspects had robbed two residents of Whitecastle and attempted to steal their car.
One of the victims, who was waiting for his gate to be opened, was attacked by the gang and sustained serious head injuries.
The victim's alarm raised by the Nairobi police boss, Philip Ndolo, alerted police on patrol, who quickly responded to the scene.
When the police ordered the gang of six to surrender, they defied the orders and engaged the police in a shootout, resulting in the deaths of four suspects.
Two gang members managed to escape to Kosovo area, but detectives are still on their trail.
