On Sunday morning, a fierce shoot-out between police and suspected armed gangsters resulted in the deaths of four individuals.

The incident began with a car-jacking at White Castle apartments, where the gangsters attempted to steal a vehicle.

However, the victims of the car-jacking quickly alerted detectives based at the Pangani Police Station, who responded swiftly and trailed the gangsters along Juja Road.

According to the DCI, the suspects, who were six in number, defied orders to surrender and engaged the police in a fierce gun battle, resulting in their deaths.

A cache of weapons, including two pistols, several rounds of ammunition, and four knives, was recovered from the suspects.

As reported by the DCI on Twitter, the gang had robbed two residents of White Castle and attempted to get away with their car.

Two other suspects managed to escape on foot into the neighboring Kosovo informal settlements, prompting a manhunt.

As stated by the DCI, 'On receiving the report from the victims, Detectives based in Pangani P/Station launched a Manhunt & caught up with the gang of six, who Disobeyed Orders to surrender and engaged in a gun fight. Two escaped to Kosovo Area but are being pursued.'
