DP Ruto Defends Jubilee's Kibra Candidate ¶
Deputy President William Ruto has defended Jubilee's candidate in the upcoming Kibra by-election, McDonald Mariga, and claimed that victory is certain.
Speaking on his Twitter account, Ruto urged Jubilee supporters to remain calm and not to be intimidated by the opposition, led by ODM's Imran Okoth.
He also accused ODM's Imran Okoth of being a project of the opposition, and claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta was forced to support Mariga in the election.
However, Ruto's comments were met with criticism from ODM's Imran Okoth, who accused Ruto of trying to intimidate voters in Kibra.
Okoth's campaign has been gaining momentum in the area, with many residents expressing their support for him.
On the other hand, Ruto's comments have been seen as an attempt to boost Mariga's chances in the election.
Mariga has been facing criticism from some Jubilee leaders, who have accused him of being a project of Deputy President Ruto.
However, Ruto has maintained that Mariga is the right candidate for the job, and that he will win the election.
