On September 28, 2019, National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to take decisive action against Cabinet Secretaries who only respond to crises.
Specifically, Duale targeted Education CS George Magoha, accusing him of laxity and only remembering his job after the Precious Talent School accident on September 23.
According to Duale, authorities should swiftly arrest Magoha and charge him with the murder of the seven young learners who lost their lives in the incident.
"The way they have arrested the proprietor of that school, they must arrest officials of the Ministry of Education in the quality section and in the highest level who approved that school. They must also be taken to court for murder," Duale said.
It is worth noting that detectives had already arrested Moses Wainaina, the proprietor of the ill-fated school, on September 26.
