On November 12, 2017, Strathmore University Blades secured a 62-49 victory over Kenya College of Accountancy University (KCAU) in a Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) men's Premier League match held at Nyayo Gymnasium.
Blades' Ronnie Gundo was the standout player, contributing 20 points to the team's win. Kennedy Dwalo also had a notable performance, scoring 14 points, while Felix Ajowi led KCAU with eight points.
The match began with Blades taking a commanding 22-4 lead in the first quarter. Although KCAU made a comeback in the second quarter, Blades maintained their lead, finishing the first half with a 41-23 score.
However, KCAU dominated the second half, particularly in the final quarter, scoring 27 points against Blades' 13. Unfortunately, it was too late for KCAU to salvage the game, as they lost and dimmed their chances of qualifying for the last eight.
Meanwhile, in the women's Premier League, Tangit Sparks secured a hard-fought 65-58 victory against Zetech University, enhancing their chances of sealing a play-offs slot.
