Inter Milan maintained their perfect record in the Serie A with a 3-1 win over Sampdoria on September 28, 2019. The victory marked the team's first six league games win for the first time since the 1966/67 season.
Stefano Sensi's deflected strike put Inter in the lead after 20 minutes, and Alexis Sanchez doubled their lead two minutes later with a close-range finish in his first start for the team.
However, the match took a dramatic turn when Sanchez was shown a second yellow card for simulation just a minute into the second half. Jakub Jankto pulled back a goal for Sampdoria with 35 minutes still to play.
But Roberto Gagliardini sealed the three points for Inter, restoring their two-point lead over Juventus at the top of the table ahead of a meeting between the two sides at San Siro next Sunday.
Meanwhile, Sampdoria are rooted to the bottom of the table after taking just three points from the opening six rounds.
