President Uhuru Kenyatta, a 1985 graduate of Amherst College in Massachusetts, returned to his alma mater on Thursday to meet with Kenyan students during his visit to the United States for the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

According to sources, the President spent time with seven students, cracking jokes and offering advice on how to succeed in their studies. A video from the meeting shows the President's lighthearted side as he engages with the students.

Amherst College, one of the premier liberal arts colleges in the United States, was founded in 1821 and is the third oldest institution of higher education in Massachusetts. The college has a diverse student body, with 56 students from different countries out of an estimated population of 1800.

Notable alumni of the college include Albert II, Prince of Monaco; Dwight David Eisenhower, grandson of the 34th president of the United States; and John Roosevelt Boettiger, grandson of U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt. Other notable alumni include Dan Brown, author of The Da Vinci Code, and Rob Brown, a renowned American actor.
