Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Southampton on the weekend.
Summer signing Tanguy Ndombele opened scoring for Spurs in the 24th minute with a superb strike from close range after connecting with Son Heung-min's cross from the left wing.
However, Southampton's Daniel Ings equalized for the Saints in the 39th minute after Hugo Lloris pulled a blunder just an inch from his goal post.
But Harry Kane restored his side's lead in the 43rd minute, securing a crucial win for Tottenham Hotspur.
The north Londoners were claiming their first win in all competitions since mid-August, when they thrashed Crystal Palace in front of their home fans.
After then, they were forced to a 2-2 draw by Olympiacos in their Champions League opening group game, lost 2-1 to Leicester City and crashed out of the EFL Cup after losing on penalties to Colchester United during the week.
