On Saturday night, a violent shooting incident left two men dead and a third seriously injured along the Southern by-pass.
According to a police report, officers on patrol heard gunshots at around 10:40 pm. The victims were in two separate vehicles, with two men in one car and a third man in another.
The vehicle carrying the two deceased men, a Toyota Fielder, was riddled with bullet holes. In a separate incident, a Toyota Premio with a lone passenger was found about 500 meters from the scene, abandoned in a thicket.
Police claimed to have found several number plates in the boot of the second vehicle. The injured man was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital, where he was admitted with gunshot wounds to the chest and stomach.
