Published on September 28, 2019, a 45-year-old man was arrested in Mathira in connection to the disappearance and murder of a 12-year-old boy in Karatina.

Charles Muriuki, the suspect, was identified on CCTV footage from a local entertainment club, where he was seen leaving the area on a motorcycle where the boy was allegedly kidnapped.
