On September 28, 2019, French urban climber Alain Robert, popularly known as the 'French Spiderman', made headlines in Frankfurt after scaling the 154-metre Skyper tower in just half an hour.
Robert, 57, reached the top of the 42-floor building without permission or safety equipment, causing passersby to stop, stare, and take photos.
As he climbed the tower, Robert has chalked up a series of similar stunts across the globe since 1994, including the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Just a month prior, Robert had climbed a Hong Kong skyscraper and unfolded a 'peace' banner as massive and sometimes violent pro-democracy protests rocked the city.
When questioned about his Skyper climb, Robert gave no reason for his actions.
Police eventually moved in to arrest Robert, bringing an end to his daring stunt.
AFP journalist reported on the incident, capturing the moment Robert was led off the building.
