On day two of the World Athletics championships in Doha, Qatar, Kenya's top athletes are set to take on the world's best in various events. One of the most anticipated events is the women's 10,000m final, where World 5000m champion Hellen Obiri will lead the charge for Kenya.
Obiri will be joined by her compatriots Agnes Tirop and Rosemary Wanjiru in the quest for gold. However, they will face stiff opposition from top athletes like Netherlands' Sifan Hassan and Ethiopia's Senbere Teferi, Letesenbet Gidey, and Netsanet Gudeta.
Meanwhile, former World champion Eunice Sum will line up in the women's 800m semi-finals, having qualified as one of the best losers in the heats.
Kenya's Ruth Chepngetich had already handed the country its first gold medal in the women's marathon the previous evening.
