DP Ruto Mourns Staff Member Killed in Road Accident

Deputy President William Ruto is in mourning following the tragic death of Anthony Kariuki, a senior official in his office, who was killed in a road accident along Outering Road on Friday night.

According to eyewitnesses, Anthony was knocked off by a speeding vehicle at around 10PM near the Shell petrol station in Donholm.

"My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family, colleagues and friends of my staff member Anthony Kariuki," DP Ruto wrote on Twitter, expressing his condolences.

"I take comfort in knowing that Kariuki is now resting in the arms of our Lord. Rest In Peace," the DP added.

Anthony was remembered by DP Ruto as a sharp, dependable, industrious, committed and creative person, who also had a positive attitude.

Graphic photos captured at the scene of the accident show the body of the deceased by the roadside in a pool of blood.
