On September 28, 2019, Tanzanian singer Rose Muhando released a song called "Kenya Ulindwe", a heartfelt tribute to President Uhuru Kenyatta and the people of Kenya for their support during her illness.

According to reports, Muhando was hospitalized in Kenya three months prior to the release of the song, but the nature of her illness was not disclosed to the public.

Before her hospitalization, Muhando gained widespread attention after a video surfaced of her being prayed for by Pastor James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism Centre.

After her recovery, Muhando returned to the music scene, releasing a few collaborations. "Kenya Ulindwe" marks her first solo single in a long time.
