David Ole Sankok, the Jubilee Party's nominated MP-elect for Narok County, has a heart of gold. In a touching display of love and appreciation, he penned a heartfelt poem for his wife, Hellen Sankok, and gifted her a car.
According to Sankok, he and his wife, Hellen, first met at Uhuru Gardens when he was broke, with only KSh 5 to his name. He recalled that they had to go without lunch that day, not because they were hungry, but because he had no money at the time.
'I remember that day at Uhuru Gardens, I had only KSh 5 to my name, which was just enough to buy ice cream,' Sankok said in the poem.
He added that they had to rely on their dreams and imagination to get by, as they had no money to buy food.
'We went without lunch that day, not because we were hungry, but because I had no money at the time. We were just living on our dreams,' Sankok said.
The poem is a beautiful expression of love and appreciation for his wife, who has stood by him through thick and thin. Sankok has been open about his struggles, including being broke at one point in his life.
He has been nominated to represent Narok County in the National Assembly and has been making waves with his heartfelt poems and gestures.
