On September 27, 2019, Angola's Petro de Luanda secured their spot in the CAF Champions League group stage after a thrilling match against Uganda's Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) ended in a 1-1 draw.

The match, played at Lugogo Stadium in Kampala, saw Jacques Tuyisenge's side prevail on aggregate, thanks to Ricardo Job's spot kick in the second leg of the first round.

Despite the Rwandan player not participating in the match, his side managed to establish a lead with a penalty in the 36th minute of the first half.

However, Mustapha Kizze equalised for KCCA in the 56th minute, giving the Ugandan champions some hope of snatching victory in the eleventh hour.

Unfortunately for KCCA, they were unable to find the back of the net again, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

With the previous 0-0 draw in the first leg, Angola were able to take advantage of not conceding at home to send their opponents out of the Champions League.

KCCA now proceeds to the CAF Confederations Cup playoffs.
